Special municipal programs of public health support and their administration in the context of sustainable development
Santrauka [EN]

The aim of the work – to determine the aspects of special municipal programs of public health support and of their administration in the context of sustainable development and to identify the problems connected with this.

In order to evaluate the correspondence of special municipal programs of public health support to the principles of sustainable development, material of 4 special municipal programs of public health support (hereinafter – Programs) has been analyzed. Qualitative analysis has been carried out, using the methods of text analysis and synthesis. 4 municipal Programs of 2009/2010 and their means, reports about Programs, operating procedures of municipal NOS, Programs making and schedules of the performed activity have been analyzed by these methods.

The results of the research show that municipalities, their politicians and health administrators treat public health and its improvement in a perfunctory manner, allocating few resources, which are unpurposefully distributed. However, the representatives of municipalities start to apply the provisions of sustainable development principles, implementing special municipal programs of public health support.
