The aim of this study is to test the relationship between work environment satisfaction and employees subjective physical and mental health.
|
214 employees participated in this study and 191 of them were included in the statistical data analysis 52 (27%) men and 139 (73%) women.
|
The subjects completed a questionnaire which included methods to assess employees satisfaction with work environment conditions (satisfaction with ambient conditions, facilities, work and system characteristics, equipment and machinery, health and safety, work site), to evaluate subjectively assessed physical and mental health and to identify complaints of physical symptoms related to employees health.
|
The results showed that employees’ dissatisfaction with the ambient conditions, work site has a negative impact on workers’ subjective assessment of physical and mental health. The most common work-related health complaints are related to the ambient conditions and work site.

Employees who complain of fatigue, headaches, eye fatigue and stress, sleep and stomach disorders are not satisfied with general atmosphere, lightning, colors, the air quality in their work area, privacy and conveniences at their work. |
