Relevancy of the Final Master paper Management of Corruption Prevention at Vilnius City Municipality has been determined by a reasoned uncertainty regarding efficiency of anti-corruption instruments, since number of corruption cases constantly grows and operating institutions and the developed legal regulation mechanism is not capable to secure decrease of the number of corruption cases.

The Final Master paper tries to find out instruments for fight against corruption, applied at Vilnius city Municipality and attitude of the society towards their efficiency. In order to reach the raised goal, a corruption concept has been laid, factors that determine the phenomena of corruption and consequences aroused by them, also scope of corruption manifestation on the scale of all Lithuania and local municipality, making analysis of acts of law, instruments for prevention of corruption and their application gaps, also trust level of the society in operations of Vilnius city Municipality, pursuing the assigned functions is analysed.

After making analysis of theoretical aspect of the Final Master paper and also making assessment of the survey results obtained in the form of questionnaires, a hypothesis has been raised at the beginning of the Final paper that management of corruption prevention at Vilnius city Municipality is mostly of a declarative character has been proved. Conclusions have been made that although there are quite a few instruments for corruption prevention, they turn out not to be efficient. The final paper suggests, first of all, making a comprehensive and narrow study of the corruption phenomenon and only then start improving instruments of corruption prevention and reorganization of the system of institutions fighting against corruption, and also establishing a complex corruption prevention management mechanism at Vilnius city Municipality.
