Structure and optical futures of liquid crystalline PPI dendrimers

A dendrimer is a synthetic, man made, 3 – dimensional macromolecule, which is prepared in a series of repetitive reactions from simple branched monomer units. Dendrimers consist of a series or chemical shells built on a small core molecule. For the first three generations, dendrimers are very much like ordinary organic molecules but have certain distinct properties. Dendrimers are superior compared to linear polymers in various properties like structure, structure control, architecture, size, shape, hydrodynamic volume, viscosity, crystallanity, polydispersity, analogy, synthesis, architecture monomer units internal microenvironment [13]. Rightly using this futures of dendrimers in medicine, gene engineering, technique, pharmacy, we can get highly results and ream they employment facilities.

The absorption spectra of two families of functionalized liquid crystalline poly(propylene imine) dendrimers PPI were measured and analyzed. The bands assigned to the symmetry forbidden transitions as well as transitions were observed. In the region of small concentrations up to 0.1 mg/ml the intensity of the bands followed the Beer-Lambert law. The fine structure of optical spectra of the PPI with LC mesogens demonstrate shift towards IR 8nm and 9nm of interbranched band for 1st and 2nd families respectively. By growing number of generations intensity of central part is lowering. In PPI spectra with Co nanoparticle disappear peaks at 305nm and at 370 nm.
