EU in trade with developing countries use Generalised System of Preferences (GSP), products imported either duty-free Access or a tariff reduction. The EU GSP is the most widely used of all developed country GSP systems. Certain products from GSP beneficiaries can be graduated from the scheme if they become competitive on the EU market. Lithuanian is member of EU , so GSP scheme is actually for our country.

Goal of this conclusive work is to explore GSP scheme, European Union preferential import from developing countries, problems occurring and analyze perspective.

Three tasks are raised in this work. That includes: to show character and dynamics of European Union preferential trade; explore Lithuania in context of the world economy, her integration processes; to analyze developing countries foreign trade with European Union; to review perspective of Lithuanian preferential foreign trade.

The aim of this work was reached by the analysis and synthesis on theoretical, repository and statistical material. In conclusion work were used some methods, such as monographic, graphic symbol, analysis and synthesis.
